Community Needs Assessment

The Westchester County Youth Bureau is requesting proposals from qualified proposers to conduct a countywide Community Needs Assessment to identify existing resources, assess persistent needs, emerging trends and challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, detect gaps in services, and provide results-based recommendations to improve conditions for children, youth, and families in the County. Participatory evaluation in a mixed-method research approach is preferred while identifying resources, needs, problems and solutions. Applicants must demonstrate the following: Track record for conducting Community Needs; Assessments and Participatory Research; Community-driven approach involving community members and stakeholders; Ability to utilize mixed-method research approach (collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data within the same assessment); Understanding of Westchester County communities and youth; Familiarity in working with a range of communities. Based on the Community Needs Assessment findings, the Bureau will be better equipped to make recommendations for policy, system or environmental changes to improve the quality of life for County children, youth and families. Submission of questions in writing are due by close of business August 23, 2021 (4:00 pm). Questions will be answered by close of business August 31, 2021.
